Mental Performance Support System (MPSS) Meditation: Free Resource

Train Your Mind. Play the Next Ball.

Meditation is not about escaping the game. It's about learning to meet it.

Through seven guided Insight meditations, you'll train the same attentional skills that help athletes recover after mistakes, remain connected under pressure, and engage fully with the next moment.

These meditations are rooted in the Insight Meditation tradition and adapted specifically for volleyball. Their purpose is not to make athletes calm, but to help them become more aware, more resilient, and more available for the next moment the game presents.

No experience necessary. Click any individual tile to play a free meditation.

What Makes MPSS Meditation Different?

This is where I think you separate yourself.  Three simple icons.

It isn't relaxation.

Meditation doesn't teach you to eliminate thoughts and emotions.

It teaches you to notice them without being controlled by them.

It isn't visualization.

Visualization has its place.

These meditations train awareness itself.

It isn't positive thinking.

Instead of replacing difficult thoughts...

you learn to relate to them differently.

How to Use These Meditations

Use them when they fit your day:

Before practice or a match
Take a few minutes to settle, focus, and become available for the moment in front of you.

Between matches
Reset your attention so you do not carry the last match into the next one.

After practice or competition
Notice what your mind and body are still holding. Label it, allow it, and let the day settle.

There is no required order. Choose the meditation that fits what you need.

Notice. Label. Allow. Return.
